awinterbornroseAnd so, we begin our snark of "Midnight Sun", the book has Edward's point of view - which is nightmarish enough. But luckily, it's only 12 chapters since Meyer threw a hissy fit and didn't finished it. Word to the wise, good luck my friend and good speed when reading.

Eh, considering that Rosalie only has her beauty - since she lost everything she wanted when she was turned, I'm not going to judge her for being vain. After all, her beauty is all she has left of her previous life.

Firstly, if Jasper is still a danger to society, WHY in the name of Hades risk him sending him to high school?

I felt the strangest urge to step in between them, to shield this Bella Swan from the darker workings of Jessica’s mind.
Because of course Jessica is (I'm sure this is it) planning a satanic ritual and use Bella as a sacrifice. Because otherwise, holy exagerattion Batman.
It was doubtful Mr. Banner, a man of no more than average intellect, would manage to pull out anything in his lecture that would surprise someone holding two graduate degrees in medicine.

My features had not changed, but it seemed to me like some of his wisdom had marked my expression, that a little of his compassion could be traced in the shape of my mouth, and hints of his patience were evident on my brow.
A few things: A) Carlisle is not wise - if he were Jasper would not be in school. Actually, none of them would be in school since there’s a high risk of them going all “nom-nom-nom” on people.
B) Carlisle’s compassion is debatable at best. The man turned dying people who were not able to say no (note: Rosalie did begged him to let her die… we all know how that one went).
C) Edward, you are not someone I would describe as “pacient”. And I wouldn’t describe you as compassionate or wise. Bitch, please.
The innocent bystanders in this classroom, eighteen other children and one man, could not be allowed to leave this room, having seen what they would soon see.
I flinched at the thought of what I must do.
And here he is talking about murdering people, just because he got the scent of Bella and wants to eat her. Our hero everybody.
In my head, Carlisle’s kind eyes did not judge me. I knew that he would forgive me for this horrible act that I would do. Because he loved me.

And with that, we have this duality that on other, better written books it would have been an interesting thing.
